QUESTION

I have a question for the powers that be! Why was Texas placed in the Southern USA on this forum. Texas people consider themselves to be living in the South West, rather than the South.

El Paso, Texas is closer to California than it is to the east side of Texas, 825 miles away and is only 125 miles from Arizona, stretches as far north as ABQ, and Santa Fe, New Mexico Is only 125 mile farther south than the state of Colorado. The western two thirds of the state is mountainous deasert type land, and we drink Tequila, not mint juleps. Big smile

It really doesn't matter just sounds funny to me, being called a SOUTHUNAH lol

Well.... here is why we put Texas in the "Southern U.S." When you look at a map of the US, Texas is smack-dab in the middle and almost as far south as you can go, besides Florida! Big smile

Texas is a huge state, I bet the eastern portion is quite Cajun! And ya'll do have quite an accent, so all the Southanuhs got lumped together! Evil!

And when Texas succeeds at seceding, then I guess we'll have to give you a category of your own - as a new country! lol

Man 30 feet on the east side of the Texas border in Louisiana or Arkansas, most Texans can't even understand those folks! My wife is Cajun, and that is the only way I learned to make out what they were saying, in Louisiana, 90% of the time. lol

As far as the seceding, I can't wait! However when it happens I can guarintee you our borders will not be so easy to cross, as it is now with the feds guarding it! It will be easier to get in from the North though, as long as it is from West of the Mississippi river! Everything East of the Mississippi river is a foregin country, and you'll need a Visa! Evil! Big smile

When we seced I want our old borders back! In that TEXAS, Casper Wyoming with be the northern most city in Texas, and half of New Mexico, and one third of the state on Colorado would be part of Texas. So there will be room for lots of folks, and lots of public land hunting! Laugh That Texas would have everything from Alligators to Grizzly bear! Thumbs up
