Puyallup Coyotes

I'm stuck across the country and missing this whole season.
So naturally, I'm already thinking about midwinter predator hunting.

I want to go out for coyotes and cats as much as I can this winter. I usually hunt national forest land out past Greenwater, but I'm looking to cut down on drive time to be able to do some more hunting. Has anyone seen coyote sign on any public access land nearer Puyallup?

Sadly, I've never hunted close to home and I have almost no familiarity with land in the area. So even just a rundown of what public access land there is nearby would help. Thank you.

you ever head south towards Orting-Kapowsin-Eatonville? There's private timberland out there you can go on behing locked gates. Just be sure it's not John Handcock owend. They require a permit to access.

the permits are $300 a person, if you have more than yourself in the truck on their property you need a permit for everyone in the truck with you. Its kinda dumb I think they sell 1200 a year.

Down past Orting/Kapowsin?

On GoogleEarth, I see the patch of timber northeast of Orting and the one west of Orville road and south of Patterson. Is that the land you were talking about?
Do you know which are John Handcock?

all the hancock land has signs talking about permit required, ect. and lots of gates you can actually run from the backside of buckly all the way thru to the west side of eatonville, quite alot of land, but with hancock they dont unlock all there gates, which maybe if they were willing to open them all i would be ok with spending the money to hunt but last i heard they only open a few main gates and thats it.
