I hear that a lot lately...people saying that we all need to be quiet and just go with it. Would you tell a rape victim to just accept it and stop resisting? Now that's a Clinton line!

Not gonna happen. Conservatives are going to keep dissenting, and aren't going to let this country descend toward totalitarianism without a struggle.

Mark my words...the people caterwauling so loudly about the Patriot Act and Guantanamo are going to restrict more personal liberties and choices than any administration in history.

Do you plan on taking up arms against my country, my Democratically elected President?

Once again, SoCo, I have no clue what you're talking about. Taking up arms against "your" country and your democratically elected president? When did I ever say anything about armed revolution? Some of us still believe in intellectual debate vs thugocracy.

What is it about liberals that they seem to think that any political opposition is some sort of threat to the State? Conservatives will grumble, but will endure voices of dissent because that's what American democracy is about. But liberals, on the other hand, seem determined to magnify any dissenting opinion into some sort of threat to society. The next step, obviously, is to deem it "common sense" to reign in these radicals and put a stop to "hate speech."

Your hypocrisy on this matter is appalling. You're willing to throw the rights of gun owners under the bus because it won't affect your gun cabinet. You're willing to throw free speech rights of others under the bus because you don't agree with them. And yet you call yourself an American? You're a political lemming -- the same sort of mindless automaton that has fueled despotism throughout history.

Any luck coming up with a critical thought of The Obama? Or are you still unable to think for yourself?

This is one of your lunacy based statements:

"Conservatives are going to keep dissenting, and aren't going to let this country descend toward totalitarianism without a struggle. "

In your warped way of thinking and there are many others like you you can't just accept a new team has been elected into office and deal with it. You use terms like "descend into totalitarianism" which are pretty powerful statements IMO. To me your statements don't jive with what Senator Mccain called for with his concession speech. Rather they seem seditious in nature.

I think it is totally moronic and ridiculous to think Obama wants to rule and isn't worth responding to. I will address this just this once. I feel like any other politician who has run, even ol Sarah Palin, he wants to better this country and has his philosophy on how to do it.

Warped? Seditious? Because I dare to question The Obama?

Whaddya gonna do...declare me an enemy of the state? Send me to a reeducation camp? Convict me of "hate speech" and lock me away?

Your intolerance of dissenting opinion is chilling and reveals a lot about who you are.

Why I think I've got it now, if I offer a statement agreeing with you, I'll suddenly be capable of independent thought in your eyes.

My friend I've offered nothing but my own thought. You happen to disagree with it and therefore attribute it to me being a mindless lemming. Brick Wall,)
