This may be an obvious question to some, but do DFG tag requirements change for private land owners in Ca? I've recently begun looking into purchasing property with a co-worker, and we've found quite a few very appealing listings up in Lassen and Modoc County. Several of the listings we've found fall in the X-zones though. We just started looking and researching recently, and both questioned whether private land owners have any special X-zone tag privileges.
We both have 4 on/4 off work schedules, and are looking for good deer, bear, and upland game land. Obviously we'd like land somewhere we can purchase deer/bear tags on a yearly basis, and not have to try and draw tags for our own property. Anybody know whether private land owners are allowed to obtain X-zone tags regularly, or whether it is still based on the same point system?
