Private Land Elk GMU 39 Evergreen Area

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this site, but looks like a great community!
I'm just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any contacts or suggestions -- anything would be greatly appreciated!
Here's the story...Earlier this year we received permission to hunt elk on a parcel of private land in the Evergreen area (GMU 39) for my 15 yr old son. My son has not taken his first elk yet so we jumped at the opportunity. My son drew his tag and we anxiously awaited elk season. Unfortunately, since then the land owner got cold feet and changed their mind. Ugh! So now we have a private land cow tag, but no land to hunt. I'm hoping someone may know a landowner in the area who would be willing to let us reduce the heard by one cow elk. GMU 39 runs roughly from Evergreen through Idaho Springs, Mt Evans, and Loveland Pass on the west side. The private land tag is good through January. I'd be willing to pay a little for the opportunity to hunt someone's land, or just give the landowner some elk steaks.
I'm an experienced hunter, and my son is a very responsible, safety conscious kid. Just looking to enjoy seeing him get his first elk!
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thank you!

GO BRONCOS,

I wanted to welcome you to BGH ! Thumbs up Sadly I can not help with any info on the area you are trying to hunt. With the holidays going on most guys are not looking at the site right now, but hopefully someone will see your post and try and help.

Good luck !

Welcome

Welcome to the site. I also can not help you. You may have to resort to calling private land owners in the area by phone and asking for permission. If you can get a land owner map for the area it will help in your efforts. The local biologist may have some knowledge on land owners in the area who may be open to it but it's a long shot. Any locals that live in the area would be helpful too. Good luck.
