I just bought some underarmor cold gear. UnderArmor is known to take the sweat off of your skin. Worked great this winter except for the day after new years when I was hung over and badly dehydrated.

Hangovers and hunting just dont mix do it

This definitely is a problem if you got a long hike....basically the only way I have found to help is leaving extra early and going extra slow....if it means hiking two hours instead of one then its worth it not to sweat, stink and then freeze your butt off after your sweat freezes...I carry my heavy cold gear in my bags and that helps as well!

Dress in multiple layers. Take off a layer or two while you are hiking and go slow enough so that you don't over heat. When you get to your stand put the layers back on.

I often carry my clothes in with me and put on my layers once i am close to my blind. I use to take extra socks and change them also so they wouldn't be wet. Nothing worse then getting into your stand or blind well before light and as soon as light comes you begin to get cold.

All excellent advice. The Under Armour, while expensive, does wick the sweat away from your body. The best advice, though, is to take your time walking to the stand and carry your outer layer in a separate bag.

Also, Scent-Lok or Scentblocker outer layers work, too, but if you're sweaty to start with, you're still going to get cold.
