When you fail to draw your first choice you get a preference point. Are the points GMU specific? I mean, do the points accumulatte against that specific GMU you applied to or can they be used to apply towards different GMUs requiring points in future seasons? Also, I did some searching on the forum, but is there an easy way to explain how you know when a GMU found in the DOW preference point statistics applies to multiple GMUs?

They are only species specific. So you can apply those points to future draws within a species for different GMUs or seasons. You need to look at the regs brochure. It will tell you when a hunt code applies to more than one unit.
