Posting Question/Help?

I've done a couple of posts now under the new format, but getting some weird results, LOL. If I copy and paste from Word/Wordpad I get all kinds of codes about fonts and things(?) showing up I have to go back and edit out. It's quite a lot too!

I've learned to use the preview button now beforehand, but wondered if there was someway anybody knew how to make that stop, or what I am doing wrong maybe? Confused

By the way, I loaded up Firefox and my previous issue of getting kicked out has appeared to go away, so that worked; pages load faster too.

Thanks.

Glad to hear firefox is working better for you!

About posting, yes using cut & paste from Word or other word processor can give unexpected results. Try pasting, previewing and see what it looks like. The input software here on BGH will only recognize certain tags/code, and ignores the rest, so it might look ok. Try with both rich text enabled and disabled and see what works better for you when you cut & paste. The "disable rich-text" link is on the left, right under the comment input box.

The safest way to compose offline and then cut & paste is in a plain text editor like notepad, or even an HTML editor if you have one.

Yep, no problems here since switching to Firefox. I still need to figure it out a bit more, and get my spell-check and other add-ons to work in it. I can't seem to get buttons to show up on the toolbars it has... reading needed I guess.

Anyway, I'll try those ideas with "disable" buttons you suggest next time. I'm not sure about HTML editors and all that though, getting a little deep there for me, LOL.

Thank you! Wink
