Looks like I am the first to post a picture here. I got mine after 3 long days in the blind. Not the big ol tom but not bad for my first one with a bow.

Big Bad Tom 5 Beards

First and for most I Thank God!
Well I think I broke a couple of my records this year, first one it only took 20 minutes of hunting this time. I left for the woods late it was getting light out when I left my house and I still had a 15 minute drive. I parked my truck and trailer which was full of wood in front of the barn at my inlaws where I was hunting and got on the golf cart since I have an injured knee and drove to the edge of the woods, walking in I spooked a bird and he flew away, went to the second blind got inside had to undress and fix my knee brace redressed and picked my phone up started to look online then I heard a gobble, so I put phone away grabed my gun looked out the window on the left there he was at 30 yards and moving along I waited for him to go behind a tree he stopped and started struting and I shot him. YES before 7:00am Then I headed to the house to unload wood. And when I got to golf cart Inoticed he had 5 beards, WOW, then I wanted to get him scored. I called a few hunting shops they didn't know any one who would score him. So I thought I'll get a hold of one of my taxidermists and on the way home I saw some other guys parked coming in from turkey hunting near my home and low and behold one happens to be one of my taxidermists "Nick, Lansing Taxidermy" and while parked along the road talking with these guys by there hunting spot there were turkeys out in the field that they were hunting, go figure , thats huntin.  I gave him my turkey and $50.00 deposit for a flying mount total $300, should show off the beards pretty good. My wife was with me said you gave a guy your bird and $50.00 cash and were going home with nothing, your crazy.LOL I did get my meat later that day!
Now I was excited and I am not sure how long the beards are and the last beard had only about 5 or 6 strains of beard. And I just sent with him with the taxidermist without weighing him. He will look great flying on my wall in my house. What a great start to a year, some guys have said we are seeing more of these freaks since the melt down in Japan, I like their theory can't wait for deer season. LOL
