post-hurriccane hunting

Hi. I don't normally hang out in this forum being from Canada, but I have a question about whitetail behaviour after a hurricane. We just had one here in eastern Canada about 3 weeks ago (Hurricane Juan) and it really seems to have blown all the bucks away with our roofs and trees.

Does anyone have any input or experience on how such major weather will affect deer. There seems to be a drastic drop in deer activity since the storm. I would have expected that for a few days afterward, but it's getting close to a month now.

How long does it take for them to return to "normal" patterns or do they?
Will it delay the rut (which normally should be starting in about 3 weeks).
