My Airdale got to my english pointer bitch and now I have 7 black with a little white on the chest pups.
These maybe the new pointing/flushing dogs of the future as both dog and bitch hunt and love water.
Anyone ever come across this cross Think
They will be ready to go in 2 weeks

Your not gonna know what you got for quite a while. What's the blood line on your pointer? Love those guy's but my horse died and my knees are bad so unless I get another horse, after "Otis" is gone I might get a lab. Think But nothing and I mean NOTHING has the class and style of a good English Pointer! Thumbs up

Sad to say not really sure on the blood line. A friend was in Hereford Tx doing some farm work and she showed up at his place nearly dead on her feet, starved to nothing, she was pretty young.
He placed ads in several papers and never heard squat, so when he headed back to Spud Central (Idaho) she came with. He got busy and gave her to me and I put three months of Professional training into her with a guy at a local bird reserve to get a good srtart on her incase she had some really bad habits
(which there were none)
She is exactly like other EP's I've hunted behind, Fantastic. She has taught me something about the breed though, I 've always thought they were hammer headed and stubborn, I have come to look at as just an overwhelming desire to hunt period.
As far as the class/style, I think the have a real elagance in the way they hold themselves and hunt, enjoyable to watch

How's about...

Hunting the high pastures of Mauna Kea with an english setter tracking a wild pheasant in the chilly wind before going on !Point!. Head high, front leg tucked in, and a straight 12 o'clock tail.

Ah, stuff that will always stay with you.

Hey Mite, how's that pup of yours comming? Ya gotta cut me a little slack, we all got our preferences. My old hunting buddy Jack loved his setter's, we have had some really great arguments about his setter's and my pointers and shorthairs. Then we went to dinner, had a few beer's and chased women. Fortunately we never caught any. I'm sure it was because he told them he had setters and I wanted setters! Should have told them the truth! Big smile

Ya need to post a new photo of that dog.
