Portable Bow press I made for $13.00 pics and instructions

Here is how I made the portable bow press and pics of construction and use.

1100 pound ratchet straps from wall mart with the hooks removed

next I took some long bolts, cut some vinyl tubing and put the bolts in the tubing,

Next step was wrap tubing and bolt head with cloth camo tape...the dipping of bolts in plastic dip is too time consuming..

Next, run the ends of the ratchet strap through the limb notch of your bow where the cam is...... and stick the bolt bar through the loop in the ratchet strap, pull out tension of strap and tighten ratchet

Here is a full bow pick to show you with it in action.........

This should save everyone some time and money!

I can't see the pics either but it certainly will work .Good thinking .I'll have to make myself one of those . How do ya hold the bow stable to work the ratchet ? If I could see the pics I likely wouldn't have to ask that question

Hey RC that is a great idea. I have been mulling over buying a bow press for a couple of years now (along with an arrow flecher) but havent felt like shelling out the $100+ for one.
Thanks for sharing.

Rajun Cajun has his photos hosted on Hunt101 and that site was down for quite a while, that's why the photos did not show up. It appears to be working right now.

If you still cannot see the photos, you may need to edit your profile (link at top right) and allow HTML to be viewed.
