You may want to read the rules to the contest along with why and when points will be deducted.

Some posts were duplicates that were deleted. Most likely not your fault because from time to time our system posts duplicate posts. With duplicate posts you end up getting double the points, so the duplicates need to be removed.

The forums are actively moderated for content. If posts are redundant, they will be deleted. We encourage people to search the forums, since many topics have already been discussed. So if you posted something very general that has been previously discussed, it probably got deleted.

Same with posting another new thread when a response to an existing thread would have worked better. This thread is called "points" - you started one named exactly the same earlier today. To keep things uncluttered, it would have been nice if you had simply asked your question in the "points" thread, instead of starting a new one.

Also, I do not know if this was explained to you in a private Message or not, but the joke section is for original jokes only, not cut and paste stuff.  I see you lost over 3,000 points, which also happened to me 2 rounds ago.  My guess is that's where you lost a big chunk, as I heard you were posting alot there.

It is hard to come up with an original joke that is actually funny.  I thought about it but had no success.

I lost over 500 points today, but not sure why.  Oh well, it happens.  I am impressed that Hawkeye doesn't have any points deleted.  He's the man and must post only good posts.

Went back and looked and it looks like there were duplicates.  Makes me feel better.  Thought I was screwing up and I don't like to break the rules.  I am going for quantity, but also quality of my posts.

Yah mine were all basically jokes and post/pictures that got duplicated. I thought that if you had a funny joke that you could share it with everyone but i guess not. But it makes sense, someone could post jokes all day that they copied and pasted. But im still learning, il have this down pat by the time November is over!!

I think I am a pretty funny guy, but man it is tough to come up with an original funny joke.  I can write lots of jokes but not funny ones.  I am however, determined to come up with one before the end of the contest.
