Hello to all! This is my first post, I'll try to keep it short and to the point. I am trying to plan a 10 day safari, 2x1 plus 1-2 observers. We would like to hunt Buffalo and some plains game like: Zebra, Impala, Kudu, Gemsbuck or Wildebeast. My areas of preference are (not in any order) Tanzania, Zimbabwe (zambezi valley), hopefully it will be stable there by then, or Zambia. Problem is that I can't get the cost below $17,500 not counting observers and air-fare/charter. I would be willing to hunt any time of the year, but would prefer to go August/September time frame of 2009 or 10. I was hoping to keep cost around $15k total. Am I way off base or are there ways to keep cost down that I have not seen yet? Note: Observers (wife) will not tent camp per se, Possibly in one of the more permanant type. My cost is based upon Chifuti Safaris web page. I have seen some more expensive and some less. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I enjoy this thread, and wish it were more active. It is really nice to see P.H.s on here as well!
