Hello again

I stop in a couple times/week. Don't post as much as I did due to lack of posting from others and no new material.

Nice to see it starting to pickup again...(somewhat). Probably due to the upcoming draws. I miss the good conversations. I'll keep checking back. Hopefully things pickup again.

Spam links - Kill Them ALL!

What really annoys me about this web site is the inability to filter spam web site links.  I am signed up for multiple "subscriptions" on topics to this web site.  Most of my e-mail, especially lately, is filled with idiots replying to any topic and adding their worthless and nothing-to-do-with-hunting link to a garbage web site.  Why can't this #($*%&^ stuff be eliminated?!?!  I must have lost a year off of my lifetime opening these worthless replies from this web site.  I don't have that from the 1 other web site I truly enjoy.  And that is the real reason I sit back and read/delete mostly and don't participate - not because of lack of contest material.  Get this fixed!!!  And I agree - get rid of the preview and then post actions - should just be a post... but I guess that filters 50% of the other SPAM IDIOTS!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for something like the way you have to submit a reply or the problems with spam to be fixed.  I asked about the posting stuff when they first went to this style of forum and got "we'll look at it"  and nothing was done.

I personally believe that Outdoor Hub got sold a bill of goods the way that this site got the post up to the point that it looked like a real money maker when they purchased it.  Right now I don't think that they care about the site and are just enjoying what it makes in advertising.

When was the last time that you actually saw or heard a person in athority say or mention anything on this site.  There are a few moderators that still pop in once in a while but they have no power to do anything.

I try to remove the spam as quickly as possible, but I can't do anything about the emails that already went out notifying you of the replies.  Sorry.....,.

No issue with you!

No issue with you Vermonster!  You are the only one doing something.  A simple line within the program could correct this... but Critter has it pegged.
