PIG HUNTING???

I am new to the forum and hunting. Big Ant or anyone else, if you don't mind, can you tell me where to hunt for pigs in Northern California? I don't have the money to pay for private land so if you are willing tell me where to go on public land I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hope this helps, it may still be to far from you...

Have you checked into Fort hunter Liggit? It is near King City. Great for Pigs and Deer.

Other than that I know most people I know in the area generally look for Private land for pig hunts which owners give permission to. I used to pay $50 a visit to a ranch in the area for day use and $100 per pig. It satifies the Land Owner and can be cheaper then looking into one of those other places.

Do check out Fort Hunter Liggit though, they always seem to have pretty good hunting.

Hunting on Fort Hunter Liggett requires an FHL hunting permit, a valid California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG) hunting license, species tags and/or stamps, and photo identification. CDFG license, species tags or stamps are not available at FHL.

Hunting Permit: Annual ($90) or Two-Day ($35) permits are sold only by mail and are picked up when you register to hunt. Juniors (with a CDFG junior hunting license), disabled veterans (with a CDFG disabled veteran hunting license) and active duty military personnel are eligible for a reduced fee permit. Hunting permits are non-transferable and non-refundable and expire along with your California hunting license.

Re: PIG HUNTING???

I am from the San Francisco bay area and would love to go out and try my luck at a pig hunt. Anybody care to share some info on public land spots here or via pm?
