Oh wow Fuzzybear. Years ago I was driving out of Missoula, Mont. Every week I'd go to Portland, Ore with grain in a refer and haul frozen stuff back to deliver all over Mont. Most of I 90 was a two lane road then and in Mont along the St Regis river were some places I could get the truck off the road. Back then it had Goldens and they were beautiful. I would put them in the trailer but the color would always be gone by the time I got home.

In my younger years I did a lot of long range backpacking. On one trip myself and three friends went into the California Sierras at Independence. Past the Whitney Portals and hiked across the range to exit at Sequoia National Park. A total hike of 90+ miles and twelve days.
While on the top of the range. There were several waterways and a few small lakes that had the Golden Trout. I caught enough of them one afternoon to serve up for dinner that evening. They are beautiful fish but these had an oily bitter taste. We couldn't eat them.
