Pheasant Hunting Death in Napa

I feel horrible for the boy.  He's going to have to live with it for the rest of his life.  Very sad.

So sad and a real tragedy,

So sad and a real tragedy, not only for the man, but for the boy that accidently killed him.  I don't know how someone gets over something like this.  I hope they realize it was an accident and I am sure the man would not hold it against them.

From what I saw posted later,

From what I saw posted later, it appears that the father, son, and a couple other people were riding around looking for pheasants.  The boy, for some reason, has a round in the chamber, and when they stopped to get out, it discharged, striking and killing his Dad.

Harsh reminder of practicing

Harsh reminder of practicing gun safety at all times.  And for adults, never assume your child is following the rules, check them and make sure.  This is really a heartbreaking story.
