Glad they nailed em! Man i hate poachers, i used to look the other way when people did it for meat. But these days most will use that for a excuse then the funny thing is most deer poached are bucks. Game violaters run rampant here and it sickens me how the average sportsman just tolerates it.

I'm tired of the average sportsman putting up with poaching. If most of them would stand up to their friends and turn them in when they do this stuff we would be alot better off. i turned my friend of ten years in for poaching. and i'll do it again if i see anyone else doing it. i'm sure i'll get alot of flack for this but i dont care. any one breaking the law should be punished no exceptions. we have a bad enough image we dont need our own making it worse.

Where I live at, if he wouldn't have shot the bear - he still would not have gotten into any trouble.

The Game Warden would have helped him to load the deer in his truck.

Gary Alt - the man that started the slaughter of innocent deer was once the head biologist for the study of bears in Pennsylvania.

That is the reason that there is such stiff penalities for shooting bears and elk in PA and almost no fine at all for poaching deer.

There is no reason for poaching A deer.

I am the poorest person that I know, and I never had to poach a deer in all my life.

If you stop to think about it, first you have to have a car, then you have to have a gun or a cross bow - as this person did.

Then you have to have help to load the deer, bear etc..

Then you have to have ammo to shoot the animals with.

You have to be willing to butcher the animal for the edible parts of meat - which most slob hunters - poachers that I know of only wants the back straps and the hind quarters.

Then you have to dispose of the carcass.

All that takes money, where as you can just go to a food bank or collect surplus food and all you have to do is open a can or a package of food.

By the time that you poach a deer you already spent $20 to get $40 worth of meat. Plus all of you time and the risk of getting caught.

Antler hunters will kill anything anytime just for the bragging rights.

No ethicial hunter would shoot a deer out of season just for the meat.
