Pend Oreille county muzzleloader deer season

Hey, just wanted to share my excitement. My 2 sons (10 and 13) and I are headed up to the Le Clerc creek and Mill creek drainages over T-giving break, looking for some whitetails. We usually have a great time. Hoping for some fresh snow like always. Look for us in a tent about 3.5 miles up the Mill Creek road. Driving a blue Chevy Tahoe. Always love to chat. Anyone been up there and seen any scrapes yet? Bet you had to endure some nasty weather to do so eh?

Back from our trip!

Had a great time. Weather cold but lttle wind. Fresh tracking snow each day. We didn't bring one home his year however. I saw a buck about 5 minutes into my hunt but couldn't get a shot. Son missed one (his first) and passed up a poor shot at another. Deer were spooky, it would be nice if the game dept could allow a week between the modern season and our muzzleloader season for the deer to settle down a bit. But there are deer around and if we'd had an extra day...? Altogether, excellent hunting and good memories. We'll be back next year. Yes
PS..lot's of grouse and rabbits around too.
