pellets vs loose powder

I have never used any pellets in my gun yet.And am wondering what differences have been observed using pellets and loose powder? Any miss fire or slow fires? I am thinking of using pellets in the field because of the convenience and ease of reloading.Any experiences in both?

Depending on what state you

Depending on what state you are hunting in pellets may not be leagle.  Also if they are leagle they work better in a inline than a side lock.  Also You usually need to use a 209 primer to get a good burn.
