Peaches Ridge A elk hunt

Does anyone put in for this unit on here? It is the largest number of bull permits handed out in the state of WA. Just curious if anyone has hunted this unit or is putting in for it. I got drawn with my dad on a group hunt back in 2000 with for this unit and we took a couple nice bulls. Just wondering what people's thoughts are on it.

I drew this tag this year after several years of applying. Group of 3 of us have tags so we are looking forward to a good season. Wazzu07 love to talk with you about your hunt so I know what to expect. I sent you a PM.

this can be a very good unit to draw to . Are you guys rifle or bow hunters . for the Naches side . If early hunt I would head into Crow Basin from Ravins Roost . I used to hunt this unit a lot in years past . It can be real nasty during rifle season Weather wise . Aslo look into Gold Creek and Milk lake area up around Devils Slide on the later hunts . Manashtash Side early get back in around Quarts Mt. or around Manashtash Lake . Later down around Barber Springs Road & Observitory Area . I hunted these areas lot when I was younger 30 - 45years ago . As I get older I hunt the lower country.
Good luck on you hunts

I drew a modern bull tag. Is crow basin the trailhead that takes off at the end of the road at Raven's? I was up there last week just looking around and picking some huckleberry's and drove up to the top. Looks like some big country!

Yup you can go in that way . Used to be an old road , now just a trail going off to the left just before you got to the roost . It used to go down pretty steep into what they called Cougar Valley and then on over into the basin . Yes it is some dang big country , long hike . We used horses & mules when we went in . Don't get caught in there afoot in a Bad
Snow Storm ! November can be HELL in there.
I have not been up there for a long time.
