PA Opener a Great Success!!!!

Well folks it couldn't have gotten any better than today here in PA's spring gobbler opener. It was a beautiful day and the birds were fired up everywhere. Hunter777 killed an absolutely beautiful Tom around 7am....I'm sure he'll have the pictures posted soon! To make it even better I called in four jakes about two hours later and my fiance Jackie killed her first turkey on her first day of spring turkey hunting.....she was patient and controlled herself extremely well...I was very impressed with how well she handled the situation...not to mention she killed the bird at 40yds. My goal was to get some birds in front of her and have her take one before I do....now that she got hers I'll be after mine!!!! Sorry we don't have the pictures up yet.....were staying at her parents tonight and I have no way to transfer them...but I will have them up tommorow evening for everone to see. Thanks!

Mike, today was awsome. I must have heard 150 gobbles in the first two hours of daylight. I have only been in the woods 3 or 4 other times when the birds were this fired up and gobbled so much. I am going to attach the pics with my bird here and hopefully you can put Jackie's bird on here soon. Congrats again, it was a great hunt! Now we need to kill a bear in the fall! My wife wants to get up to that spot and give it a try too. Too bad the babysitter fell through. She missed an incredible day.
It was cool having those radios so that you two could come down and celebrate with me after I took the bird. I had a lot of fun Thumbs up

Definitely a great day for sure....that was by far one of the best hunts I have ever been on.....Steve, it made my day when you killed your big ole Tom, that was a beautiful bird...let alone Jackie killing her first bird two hours later....that completely put me in heaven. Congrats again on your bird Steve...we gotta get together and hunt again soon! I attached pics of Jackies bird below. Now that she got hers I'll be out trying to fill my two tags, I'll keep everyone informed!
