Anyone have any suggestions on a good outfitter for Bear, Moose or both? We are looking to keep it within about 10 hours drive of Sault St Marie. I see lots of options on the internet just wondering if anyone has any experience with good or bad or those that they know are good. Not looking for fly in or guided hunts as we cant all afford that. Planning on going once for the bear and maybe some fishing, then different year(s) for moose. Oh yeah we are coming from the states.

I have fished with Opimika
I have fished with Opimika Wilderness near North Bay (apprx 6hrs from the Sault). They're great folks and have good bear and a thriving moose population, but I think they may have an issue getting outiftter moose tags due to quota restrictions. They do well for bear numbers but size might not be the best as it is elsewhere.
I know you'll be hard pressed to find nicer folks though. The trout and smallie fishing there is very good. Dozens of smaller back lakes - some are good, some aren't.
