I agree 100%. It's not about the cost of search and rescue. If is was, then Why is it that a non-resident can hike, camp, watch birds, fish, or do anything else in a wilderness area without a guide. You trying to tell me that a bird watcher from New Jersey is less likely to get lost than an experienced elk hunter from Utah? I don't think so!!! All this law or regulation is about is generating more business and money for Wyoming outfitters & guides. It does nothing to manage the wildlife. I for one don't think that should be legal. A game and fish departments responsibility is to manage the wildlife. They have no business passing regulations to help the private enterprises of anyone. However, I do know how I can protest this type of legislation. I quite buying any Wyoming fishing or hunting license a few years back & I encourage my friends to do the same.
