I'm starting to build up their Preference Points and Bonus Points for Sheep, Goat, Moose, Elk, Antelope, Deer and Bear for some future hunts. I've been counting down the years for along time, so Jessica could hunt with her Mother and I and the time has finally arrived. She has two little brothers and a little sister who also wants to hunt. They already love to shoot the rifles and hike. I'm also looking forward to the time when all 6 of us can hunt together.
Winter is tough on whitetails, that is an accepted fact.
You can help the quality of your herd by providing winter plots - that are not necessarily designed as kill plots.
Having what I call green plots - that the deer can browse in when most of the other food is gone, can greatly benefit the deer herd when they need it most.
