whatcha gonna do with her? She a pet or something else
If I lived somewhere where razorbacks or ferrel hogs existed I'd train her as a catch dog for traditional pig hunts. We don't have that stuff where I live, so as it stand now she's going to be a household pet and guardian just like my other old time bulldogs were.
Thanks. We like her. Her mom is all white, but the dad is two toned white with tan spots. We were able to bring her home for an hour or two today, just to get her familiar with the house and it's scent. Just took her back a few minutes ago. She still can't leave her mother until the pups are 8 weeks and a couple immunization shots are given. She seems like she'll turn out to be a great dog for us. The kids had a blast.
Over the years I have seen several elk and deer hides left in the woods by hunters and I have to wonder why they do this? I fully understand and agree about getting the hide off the animal as soon as possible to cool the meat, but why not pack out the hide with you and use it? As far as I know there are no state laws that require you to take the hide home, but to me why waste such a beautiful part of the animal? Some might think they have no use for the hide or it costs too much to tan....
