Oregon East Whitehorse Mule Deer

I drew the East Whitehorse mule deer tag this year.  I am looking for any suggestions for a place to start looking.  I live in Western Oregon now, so I won't have much of a chance to scout before the hunt.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I havent hunted that unit so

I havent hunted that unit so i cant really be too much help with first hand info. Have you used the new hunting map at the odfw website, i found it very usefull in scouting its almost like google earth but isolates the unit selected. Goole earth is also a great tool to use. good luck with your hunt and congrats on the tag.

Hello,

Just curious to know how your hunt went? I drew the tag this year and from what I have gathered is that you need some snow to push the deer from Idaho.

Thanks

Welcome to BGH! Wish I could

Welcome to BGH!

Wish I could help you but I don't even know where that unit is. I don't hunt a whole lot anymore and when I did hunt a lot, I always hunted close to home.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcoming, this unit is located in Jordan valley on the Idaho border (East of Burns). Been doing some research and it sounds like it will come down to mother nature, praying for snow!

Take care

Quinton,

Here is the only picture I have now... I will take some better ones and post them.

Sorry for the delay, been busy with the kids sports and work.

Hope all is good your way.

Josh,

Thanks for sharing the pic. When you get time share pics of all your critters in the taxidermy section.

What did the buck end up scoring ? Also that is a great bull and what does he score ?
