oregon coast range elk hunting help.

so im going to go for elk again this year except this time im going for the wilson trask unit or or somwhere around there. i was curious if anyone had any pointers or directions to a few good places to start scouting. i just want to take one elk in my lifetime, but there are pretty elusive animals, atleast to me they are. any input is appreciated thanks!

Try Standard grade road above larch Mt. gates will be locked and you'll need to walk in but there are some big bulls up there. Once you get on top the walk is pretty easy...or ride if your doing mountain bike. Good high ground to glass the area from and locate a heard or big satilite bull then get after them.

Good luck to you.
