I am looking into an Oregon Black Bear hunt in 2006. My interest is in the SW units (additional tags available). However, anywhere I can hunt with "local knowledge" is welcome.
I hunt deer in Kentucky. We have an excellent herd, with more B&C bucks taken every year. What do you think?
Possibly! Depends on the traveling expenses. I live in SW Oregon and hunt all over the SW corner of the state. We can definately get you a bear if your coming out this way. They outlawed baiting and hounds several years back, but spot and stalking during the first couple of weeks of the fall bear season is really productive. Have you been out this way before? What kind of airfare are we looking at?
