Openning day

So with just under 2 weeks till openning day in New Brunswick I'm definitly getting excited. The only downside is i may miss out on the morning shoot because of my university classes. hope fully i'll have lots of pictures to post as the season progresses.

Openning day

Yeah, opening day is coming fast ... a week from today. I went out this morning and made sure permission was still good on the land I will be hunting. Yes - Green Light. As landowner and I were finishing our conversation ... a couple flocks (family groups) of geese took to flight over a corner of the property. Yummmmm.

Openning day

Oct. 20th opening day in Nor Cal. Shot my limit in two hours, and made it to work by 11:00. 2 spoonies, 1 pintail, 4 Am. Widgeon. Awesome opening day.

Hunting Tip: Don't Be A Unit Hopper

Hunting is not usually a pursuit where instant gratification abounds. It takes a lot of time, practice, resources and patience to be a successful hunter. So when someone decides that an area they hunted only once without taking an animal is worthless and devoid of game, I don't quite understand it. These people usually jump from game management unit to game management unit; trying a new one every year. Now don't get me wrong, there are people that just enjoy scouting and hunting...
