So, what does "Opening Day" mean to you? Do you think of the very first season that opens in your area, or a different location/season? For me, even though Archery and rifle both start here well before Vermont, I always think of the first day of Vermont rifle season as "Opening Day".
Maybe it's because there is more anticipation, considering it's only 2 weeks long. In CA, our archery season is 4 months long, and rifle is 5 weeks. Maybe since there is no rush, there is not as much "tradition" for opening day.
What do you guys think?
