Only in a PC world

I bet if this mural showed two men hugging or holding hands nobody in that neighborhood would care, but you depict a competition shooter on a mural on your own building and people have a fit.

Well considering the neighborhood....... Think

No, but seriously, it's on a guys business building. The guy is a brick layer and mason, he shoots competition. The president of the neighborhood assoc seemed to not like it because it was depicting a gun. Because it's a gun, it's scary to him. I'm not saying that the painting shouldn't be slightly modified to show that it's a competition shooter, it should. As it looks now it looks like a painting of a guy shooting at other guys while working laying bricks. The image could have been painted in a better sequence. My argument is that shooting sports are non-violent sports that do not promote violence (contrary to popular belief). Sports like boxing, hockey, football, rugby, lacross, etc are in fact violent sports and do lead to violence both on and off the field. Yet nobody would be offended or shocked at a painting of boxing gloves, baseball bats, la cross bats, football helmets, ets. More kid are killed every year in team sports related injuries than are ever killed with guns.
