Now that you've pinned on the badge I will remind you of the oath you took.
If it was anything like the two I've taken it's to defend the Constitution. With that said I'll change the subject and ask who is pinning, what I assume to be, your first badge on your chest?
Take care, stay safe, and watch your six.

Still a little worried about districts. We'll be doing field training for the rest of the summer and fall, till about the 2nd week of December, at which time we get district assignments. Only 3 official and one unofficial openings so far for the 7 of us. Should be some more districts opening up while guys retire in the new fiscal year starting in July-hopefully. Anyway, we've got Kim-Pritchett, Parachute, and Craig-West officially open, plus Julesburg-Holyoke unofficially about to open according to multiple sources. Parachute would be my top choice as of right now.
Oh, and that's my dad doing the pinning.

Congrats on your accomplishment. Hope this job turns out to be very rewarding for you. I'd also like to echo BikerRN about the oaths that lawman and military personel take. I think it's very important to emphisis that those oaths are to defend the Constitution. Good luck. Now that we know what you look like we can say hello if we ever see you in the field.

I'm guessing that is you
I'm guessing that is you getting a badge? That a county sherrif job? I was discharged from the service in Lakeside. Mont in 1973. Tried to get on several different county jobs. Back then they needed more deputy's but nobody had the money for it. I think I would have liked that.
