One Massive Muley !

To start I did not find this shed ! My dad noticed this shed on the outside of my uncles barn and asked if he could have it to give to me (he knows what an antler fanatic I am). My uncle said yes and he suprized me with it.

There is a sad part to this story though. My uncle actually picked up the both sides of this awesome buck about 8 years ago while archery elk hunting. He is one of those guys that makes knife handles and belt buckles with antlers and I have given him quite a few antlers over years for his projects, but I had no clue he had his hands on some sheds like this. So he actually cut the bur's off both antlers and then realized what he had. He tried putting the antler I have back together again, but could not do it the way he was doing it, and let another guy take the antler to a shop to put it back together. Well that antler never returned ! :a2  They stole it !

:thumbsup1:

Wow that's a great shed. It's

Wow that's a great shed. It's too bad the other one was stolen but it's amazing that someone who works with antlers didn't realize what he had and cut it up in the first place. My dad does stuff like that though as he only sees things like knife handles and such and cuts away without even thinking about it. He whacked a nice set of moose antlers into pieces that someone had given him when I was a kid to make pistol grips and knife handles as well.

thank's for showing off the picture. I'd love to get one with mass like that someday.

Wow that is a great looking shed.  Nice and heavy.  Too bad aboput what happened to the other one...some people.  I just got a knife made out of a elk shed I found and man they are pretty cool...makes me wish I had that kind of talent.

Holy Moly, that shed is

Holy Moly, that shed is awesome!  I absolutely love antlers with lots of mass.  That thing has a ton of character.

Sorry to hear that the other one was stolen.  That would have made a heck of a mule deer mount.  Definately something to see.

What are your plans for it Quinton?  Are you going to display it somehow, or what?
