Probably read about this already but scientist have discovered a pre-historic rhino sized rat.

I found the last few paragraphs interesting. Apparently these rhino-rats are now evidence that human hunters didn't cause megafauna extinction in Australia.

Yeah it is easy to mistake an old fat cat for an old fat rat.
