October Round of the Grand Slam Challenge has now ended

Round Four of the BigGameHunt Grand Slam Challenge starts October 1st!

NOTE: In our ongoing effort to keep the contest interesting, fair and challenging, point designations have changed again this month.  All submissions are subject to a sliding scale.  The points awarded for your submission will be based on the criteria discussed in the Official Rules.  As a rule of thumb, original detailed stories/tips with quality photo submissions will be awarded more points. Comments and Forum Responses are now automatically scored on a sliding scale.

Round Four includes the following prizes: 

- 1st Place : Winchester Model 94 American Bald Eagle Silver Commemorative Lever Rifle - $1,000.00

- 2nd Place : Nikon Prostaff 20-60x82mm Spotting Scope - $699.99

- 3rd Place : Burris Fullfield II 4.5-14x42mm Ballistic Plex Rifle scope with Burris 12X24X-50mm Landmark Spotting Scope - $499.99

- 4th & 5th Place : Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope - $109.99/each

I like the rules on points

I like the rules on points constantly changing. I think it makes it tougher to win but at the same time it is creating better posts and stories.

I think it'll make it much more interesting.  I replied to a thread last night right after the round started, and saw that I got "3" points....... It caught me off guard, but after a minute, I figured it'd be a good thing......

Thats funny, I did the same thing and was cunfused then i took a few minute and read the new piont layout and it all mad sence. Should make for an interesting round.

I like the fact that a smiley

I like the fact that a smiley face isn't getting 50 points any more. It'll be nice to raise the quality of the points. Just having a competition has raised volume but I think that this layout will increase the quality. Plus it keeps things new and exciting... The only thing I am wondering about now though is... what will they think of next? ha I'm really looking forward to this round. Good luck everybody. Let's do this!
