This from Obama's speech in Copenhagen:
"Nearly one year ago, on a clear November night, people from every corner of the world gathered in the city of Chicago or in front of their televisions to watch the results of the U.S. Presidential election. Their interest wasn’t about me as an individual. Rather, it was rooted in the belief that America’s experiment in democracy still speaks to a set of universal aspirations and ideals."
WOW. The megalomania is definitely setting in. Bring the Olympics to Chicago because America is so great it elected me its president. Of all the moments in American history that could testify of our unity, international spirit, or values, that's the moment he chose to use.
Meanwhile while he's dining and self-aggrandizing in Copenhagen, our troops if Afghanistan are fighting and dying waiting for him to come to a decision about whether he wants to send them the support they need -- a decision he says could take "weeks."
Funny how he can figure out complex solutions to a massive economic overhaul or health care overhaul that needs to be implemented RIGHT NOW, but when the issue is a soldier under attack calling for fire support, he sees no need for urgency.
UPDATE: The IOC threw out Chicago; Rio and Madrid are finalists. No word on whether it was Obama's narcissistic speech or video of the Chicago 16 year old being beat to death with a 2X4 that did it.
