Obama & Congressional approval rating slipping

This actually ties in with the tea parties and various grass roots movements, however I thought it deserved its own thread. Slowly Obama's approval rating is slipping.

Note the graph at the bottom.

This one cracked me up, a full 21% approve the current congressional performance! Its highest rating in a year! Whew - way to go congress!!

The number of Democrats has dropped 2 percentage points in March.

You can't use Rasmussen as sources because they are....errr....well they just...errr......uhhh...hummmm well dang it their name starts with an "R" and everyone knows those "R's" can't be trusted !!

You know I had a fish once............

Great links cowgal, thanks for posting.
Those numbers are far closer in-line with what I have been seeing around town, work and on the Internet. Even folks who voted for Obama are now just shaking their head at his budget proposal, the "Stimulus Package" and his overall performance. They still believe in him but are now realizing that he is just another politician, saying one thing and doing another.
They are also realizing that Socialism isn't about what you want, its about what the Government wants and thinks you want.
I hope he gets his act together soon and starts having some sucess getting this economy turned around.

A much better source to tell you what you want to hear would be Zogby. I often hear his numbers quoted on Fox.

Which polster you use depends on what you are using them for. Are you looking to reasure yourself in what you already believe? Or are you looking to get acurate information no matter what it tells you?

One place to begin is http://pollster.com/ they have most recent polls as well as all of them graphed together.

Of course you are free to believe whatever you like, but I would recomend a variety of sources to avoid suprises.

ouch!

besides the top #s scroll down, best right/wrong track since 04.

Most sources rate Mr O's approve disaprove in the 60/30 range, not disputing Rasmusen but it makes one wonder. I mean there are reasons legislation is being passed without one Republican vote. Congress and senators and everyone else are reading the same numbers, and they aren't worried about 2010 or 2012. Frankly I'd think you all would want to be part of the process instead of calling for revolution and uprisings and stuff.

The reason that legislation is being passed without any Republican votes is that the Dems have enough of a majority that they don't need them. That has nothing to do with the polls. The Republicans are willing to let them own this tar baby. If a bill was a good idea, the Republicans would try to hitchhike on it to try to take ownership rights away from the Dems. That doesn't have anything to do with being Republican or Democrat -- it's just the way politics works. But the bad ideas -- if you can't stop 'em, the best you can do is let the other guys take sole ownership.

In all fairness, you simply cannot call 1500 people, ask a few well worded questions, and come to the conclusion that this is what 300 million Americans think or agree on. I don't care who the poll taker represents.

I'm not that fond of polls, however over time a good poll can demonstrate a trend. The one I linked to at the top shows a graph of Obama's approval rating. Its taken every day with random people, so over time you do develop a trend.

I linked to them because they proved my point! Evil!

Which proves the point -- polls can be skewed by data fed to participants.

Its now almost 1.9 million and Obama is slipping daily. Only 30% give him an A. A full 58% give him a D or F. Not a positive trend I would say.

As far as polls go, I think this one more accurately reflects how people feel.
