Northern VA Hunting help

Hello all.  I am relatively new to the area and want to get back into hunting.  I live in the area of Annandale in Fairfax County.  I am looking for info. on local hunting clubs, or a group of guys that get together and hunt in the area.  Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Don't have any info on

Don't have any info on Virginia, but I do know there are some big ones roaming those woods.  Welcome to the site!

Welcome, not to sure about

Welcome, not to sure about NOVA its pretty populated so you may have to head south a little.  If im not mistaken there looks to be some pretty large areas off I-95 past Quantaco like heading towards Fredricksberg.  It may come do to just getting maps, find places you like then driving to peoples doors and talking to them.  Thats what I did this year and it turned out pretty well for me.  Good luck

If you download google earth

If you download google earth you can see pretty real time pictures of areas around you.  Thats what I did when looking for my place.  I found a large area that looked like it may be promising with woods, creeks, rivers, and fields.  I then looked for houses that would have good access to some areas that I wanted to hunt.  Then headed that direction, I got lucky and my very first house I asked had no problem with me hunting.  Even gave me a tour of what he knew and where he had seen different game animals.
