Yeah, she's still flying high about it and so am I. The taxidermist should be picking it up today. Don't know if she's going to be able to handle the couple of months she's going to have to wait until she gets it back!! ,)

Yeah...8 acres. There isn't much out our way except for farms and woods and farms. That's why we moved out there. Peace and quiet and away from the city!! I hope it stays that way at least until the day that I die but the way things are booming around us here....it won't be quiet too much longer.
The woods are pretty thick and I've cleaned them up a bit and put a small food plot right on the other side of the creek. We do have some woods all around us but it is still fairly residential. The first couple of years I hunted out there, before we built, I didn't see much of anything. 1 or 2 small scrubs and a few does. I told my wife though...."just wait.....you'll see some improvement after I'm done. It's not much land but we'll have some good deer on here eventually". I'm still not done with what I have planned though. I also know that it won't be every year that we'll see good bucks but at least we're seeing them now!!!

Really nice buck! Congradulations to the wife. The only time it sucks when you have a wife that hunts is when you are at work, and she is out bow hunting during the rut, like mine is today
