No string loop: Shooting off string

So with the 28 inch draw on my new bow I have found out the hard way that I am just going to have to release off the string. The added length of a loop is too much.

Anybody got any tips or advice for releasing off the string.

Yeah, don't do it.  Would you

Yeah, don't do it.  Would you go hunting with too tight boots?  Would you go hunting with a rifle whose scope was off so you had to compensate where you hold on the animal?

Using a bow that doesn't fit properly sets you for problems.  Compensating for the improper fit may work, but in my opinion is not worth it.

Yeah, what CVC said.  You

Yeah, what CVC said.  You better just go buy a bow that fits you, and in order to properly dispose of the crummy bow you have now, I am going to send you a PM with my name and address.  You can send it to me, I will pay shipping, and I will dispose of it properly. Wink

Seriously though, it can be done.  Lots of people do it.  It just takes alot of practice.  There really is no "tip" to go along with it.  I used to shoot bare fingers, which is right off the string, and never had a problem.  Just practice, practice, practice......

Only tip I have for that is

Only tip I have for that is not to do it. It is not the coreect way to get the correct draw length, plus it will wear on your striing a bit.  From what I remeber you could not change out the cams for some reason, I think I would look into trading someone bows that is looking for one like yours and they may have one that will fit you better.  IMO.
