I am happy to report that after 10 months, 3 very aggressive three drug Chemo treatments, thirty-five Radiation treatments with 7 single drug Chemo Treatments, and a Neck Dissection surgery where they removed 6 Lymph Nodes and some scar tissue and biopsied them along with areas in my throat and tonsils, that I have been found to be Cancer Free !!! I'll have another follow up PET scan end of September to verify there is no Cancer anywhere else and , if clear, I'll be able to say I have beaten this horrific disease this time. Now I have to start having all this stuff put in me to fight this thing taken out so I can heal up enough to hopefully get in on some hunting this year. Its been a long 10 months and year. Thank you to all those who wished me well and prayed for my healing and comfort, I absolutely could not have gotten through this without you, and I really mean that. After the second chemo treatment and again after the 20th radiation treatment I didn't know if I had it in me to get through this but you guys kind words and prayers lifted my spirits and hope and strengthened my resolve and determination and I have made it thru to the other side. My Heart-felt thanks to all of you.
That is all wonderful news! I can only say that thoughts of my love and desrire to hunt again have helped me through some tough times as well. I wish you steady progress in getting back out to enjoy that wonderful pastime we know as "hunting"!
Wind is one of the most crucial variables in any kind of big game hunting. It helps level the playing field between a hunter with a scoped rifle and the game animals being hunted. This is not novel information. Any hunter who has consistent success in the field knows this. I have tried a couple different techniques for keeping track of the wind. Here are a couple.
The most simple and obvious is to just stay cognizant of it. It is amazing how slight of a breeze you can sense if you just pay...
