My son and I both drew for deer in unit 30 in oct and elk in unit 16e in dec. Although he was able to get a tag and shoot a nice 3x4 last nov, it will be our first year that we will both be looking to fill tags together. Congrats to all those that drew tags, and to those that didn't, good luck getting the OTC tags when/if they become available.

Drew my home unit 12 for deer and nearby 13 for elk 2nd mz,plus getting landowner tags for my ranch to sell.Should be a good year for me.

we drew Unit 30 first rifle season, now the real waiting game starts.

Got 34 deer and 30 Barbary. First time hunting these areas as well. Have scouted in 34 quite a bit and seems like there is plenty of deer (and elk for that matter getting that tag is the problem). Will have to start looking at both areas hard.

Trotsky, while hunting Unit 30 last year, we saw 2 good sized herds of Barbary sheep southeast of Queen. There were some nice rams in the first herd we saw. Probably 30 to 40 total in the herd.

Glad to hear that you saw some out there. It is going to be my first time trying for Barbary so just seeing something would be great.

New to site. Pretty cool info. Hate to brag and do this to some of you, but here it goes. We drew 3 rifle deer tags in unit 37 first hunt, 6 rifle deer tags in unit 37 second hunt. We've been hunting this area for 36 years. We also drew a ES elk tag for bow in unit 15 and the best for last is 2 MB elk tags in Unit 16d 1st rifle hunt. The oldest hunter is 66 and the youngest 10. 3 generations of hunters.
