NM Oryx Hunt

My son got his NM oryx on the stallion range this last sunday. It was his once in a life time. We had a tough hunt, that gave no chances on anything but broken horns saterday, so at 10:00 am sunday he started hunting for any oryx and then he missed one, when we walked out to check, we herd shots and some other hunters were shooting at some and got them running our way from about 700 yards down to about 50 yards and then they turned broud side and he shot one at 92 yards running and it tumbled right there. He was shooting a 300 weatherby mag 180 gr.
This oryx is an a yung bull maby 18 months old and just 27.75" horns but like I told him he has a small living room.

Re: NM Oryx Hunt

Sir,
Nice looking Oryx! My oryx hunt is coming up March 20th, I was fortunate enough to draw first time around, but before anyone gets too upset I did take advantage of the Iraq war veteran draw they opened up last year. Would you mind calling me and giving me some pointers? If so it would be greatly appreciated.

First, Thank you for serving. Don't apologize for drawing a first app. I did the same thing. We have been on 4 hunts and are 100% but that dosnt make us anything but lucky + hard working.
The best advice I can give is ware your glasses out and be patient where you look.
Good luck
james
