My niece Lisa finally got a chance at a late season cow elk. She made the most of her first shot (175 yards) and put it just behind the front shoulder. The cow went about 50 yards and piled up. She was shooting her moms 6 mm with 100 grain PSP. The best part for me of this story was the fact that while taking care of the cow they recovered her bullet just under the hide on the far side, but the really funny part was the 30 caliber bullet that was found in the pelvis from and old injury. She had a scar on the left back quarter where the bullet went in and ended up just inside the pelvis. It did not even make it half way through and it did not brake her down.
Her she is.
