Looks like there are not that many hockey fans on here. Come on guys... atleast in hockey you do not really have the crazy huge ego primodonnas (save maybe a couple; I hate Patric Roy more than anything in this world!) like most of the other sports. My red wings got beat by the avalanche but we atleast got a point out of it. That shoot out was a doozy. I did not think it was ever going to end.

They got a solid win over Alexander Ovechkin and the capitals last night. I can not get over how big Zdeno Chara is. That guy is a monster... an absolute freak of nature. I remember when he broke the slap shot speed record a couple years ago in the allstar skills challenge. His shot was clocked at something like 105 or 107 miles per hour. That is just insane. I can not imagine having that heavy chunk of rubber flying at you at over 100 miles per hour. That is scary. I won a slap shot contest back in middle school and I think my shot was in the low 80's. That is plenty fast enough for me to stand in front of. Goalies must be legally insane.

Sorry Hawkeye but I'd rather watch the grass grow than watch hockey, not a fan at all. hopefully your team does good this season though, good luck
