Newfoundland Hunt

Booked a hunt through Cabela's for Newfoundland Moose in 2015 with a friend.

We will travel to Newfoundland and hunt the non-elusive moose. I hear tell they are very abundant there. Newfoundland, maybe all of Canada, requires that you use a Guide if you are a Non-Resident so this won't be a DIY hunt but I'll still do all I can for myself. I'm looking to hunt not be pampered.

Now if my friend wants to reveal who he is I'll leave that up to him.

Let me think awhile,,I'll try

Let me think awhile,,I'll try to figure out who it might be!!  Big smile

Btw, after researching these for awhile we looked at the Cabela's hunts. they used one of the outfitters we were looking at for the same price. Plus since we both have Cabela's credit cards we can build points when booking the hunt and also will be able to use the fairly substantial credit I've built up on my card for this hunt. Works out pretty good!

Moose

You fellas should have fun out there and have no problems filling your tags as newfoundland has the highest moose population of any Canadian province

One of the reasons I wanted to hunt in Newfoundland for my first moose hunt was the high density of moose and the odds of success.

Hope you have a great hunt! Four of my buddies went up there last year and all got decent bulls. Kevin

That sounds like a great trip. Looking forward to hearing all about it. Now that I am retiring I might just have the time to take that east coast moose or caribou hunt in a year or two.

Pull It

Pull the trigger as you never know what tomorrow will bring and you don't want any regrets.

Price range$

Knowing it is a cabelas hunt I know it's not a cheap hunt what range are you talking. I am trying to weigh an alaskan drop camp hunt vs one like you are planning?
