newbie

newbie here and just wanted to now whats best for hog hunting and times to go, and good placies to go. i just moved to south ga. and i am thinking of try some hog hunting. i have never done it so any help would be a big help. i have a 12 ga. shotgun that only shoots a 2 3/4 shot, i have a bow that is set at 50 lbs, and i am going to get an old .35 black pouder revolver. will any of these work are do i need to try something else. im not to good with the bow yet. i am in the Albany, GA. area. any help would be nice thanks

Well your in the right area for hogs. I suggest you find the local mom and pops sportsmans store and ask around Wouldnt besuprised if you got a offer to go on a hunt. Any of those will work but maybe in your best interest to save the bow untill your a exserianced hog hunter and archer also there maybe local restrictions on what you can and cant use

thanks for the help. i think i will save the bow for a while. i here them pigs can get mean so i want to make sure one shot one kill gets it done

The shotgun should do fine. Try the Rifled slugs not sabot slugs. Double 00 buck shot will work also. Forget the black powder pistol. Not enough power there and will probably just make a big boar mad.
