Boy did I get a surprise this week . I had originally applied for a 6K tag and was turned down and given a preference point for next year. Well yesterday in the mail I received a letter from the DEC . They said the area had fewer application than anticipated and they sent me one.
I am guessing, as I have heard, that a lot of people did not apply due to the extra $10. tax on them this year.
